Olivia Rosete: 5 Month Update

Olivia is now 5 months old!!!! Lots of new things have been happening around here and we are still keeping very busy with our sweet little girl. She cannot quite sit on her own yet but when we sit her up..she can stay that way for a few seconds at a time. She has no problems with getting enough tummy time. Olivia loves to be on her tummy! We always put her in her crib on her back to sleep, but she ends up rolling over and sleeping on her tummy. I think she feels more comforted that way like someone is holding her to sleep.

Baby Olivia can now eat solid foods! We are so excited with every new food she tries as she is very much like her Papa...she just loves food oh so much!

We started off with a little rice cereal..she did not know what to think of this at first and we waited a week to start it up again.

Seriously this girl loves food so much that she gets angry when we cannot not give her it fast enough.
She has tried:
- bananas
- mangos
- sweet potatoes
- rice cereal
- oatmeal
- butternut squash
- avocados

One thing about starting solid foods however, her poops are crazy smelly now and she farts as loud as her Papa! Mama always has to ask..is that Papa or baby??? ;)

Yesterday was Papa's first father's day. We went out to eat with Grandma, Grandpa, and Uncle John. Olivia is quickly turning into such a daddy's little girl. Her face just lights up immediately when she sees her true love- Papa! We love all of her smiles but our favorite is when she scrunches up her nose....

She is so grown up now and we cannot believe it has already been 5 months. She is such a good baby and only cries if she is sleepy or hungry. Ong and Ba Ngoai play with her all day and cannot get enough of her. She has been skyping with her Lolo and Lola in the Philippines. Next month we are going on her first plane ride to visit Chicago. She cannot wait to meet Alexis and Andrew! ;)
